For Macross Zero fans out there, here’s the re-issued 1/60th scale VF-0A. I really like the look of this fighter because it reminds me so much of the F-14A Tomcat, both in color and style.
There’s also the optional QF-2200D-B Ghost Booster, which increases the VF-0A’s firepower and speed.
The Ghost Booster attaches to the VF-0A’s top via two small pieces right below the missile launchers. When you prepare to attach the Ghost Booster, you first remove the two pieces that come with the VF-0A and replace them with two that come with the Ghost Booster and have notches in them. The Ghost Booster also works with the VF-0S, and has matching white connecting pieces.
How big is the VF-0A? It’s just as big as the 1/48th-scale VF-1S!
Macross Chronicle featured the VF-0A, VF-0S, and the QF-2200D-B Ghost Booster.
Issue 15 has a mechanical sheet for the VF-0S that shows the Ghost Booster and GBP armor.
Issue 28 has a mechanical sheet for the VF-0A.
Issue 31 has a mechnical sheet for the Ghost Booster.
Finally, Issue 34 showcases the VF-0A.
The Ghost Booster makes several appearances in the last episode of Macross Zero.
I like how the artists made the backgrounds really nice with the clouds!
